I know, he'll pick it up eventually. But I'm really getting sick of watching him swing from the heels no matter what the situation.
Why all the dreadful starts? Is he so out of shape coming to ST that it takes him a month longer than everbody else to get ready?
If he is not re-signed, I won't lose any sleep.
I see the Rockies designated Julio Zuleta for assignment. Let's pick him up.

Alex Rodriguez went about 14 at bats (around there?) w/ no hits & finally he broke loose. Course I think it'll take a bit longer for Thome. Sometimes it takes a hit or two to get a player in the groove. Maybe Thome will become frustrated & stop his heel swinging.
This is just Thome, so I don't mind if he has a slow start. I take the bad w/ the good. I mean hey, if he ends up hitting about 50 homers like he last year I will certainly miss him if he's not resigned, especially since we do need some pop in our line up. He's also become a very good first baseman in my opinion, too.

I am not worried about Thome starting slow. The fact the Tribe is still winning despite his inability to hit (note I didn't say his inability to get on base), then I believe the team is better off because it allows the other players to gain confidence in themselves and their abilities to help the team win.
This happened last year as well remember?
If the Tribe finishes the month out at around .600 winning percentage with Thome still struggeling I will be stoked.

These first four games are proof that...
when you get good starting pitching, you win.
When you don't, you struggle.

The Indians are also on pace to win 120 games.

The Tribe are also in the top 5 in runs and BA I think.
